It's not, tho'. If you really think about what Wedge is/means/infers herein with the "yet", it's really all just a psychological breaking down of non-acceptance.
This one-word post more encompasses that Wedge has realized his own mortality, and moreover, the human race's. We're all going to die someday, and the tragedy is not death (we should welcome death, dammit! And not because the world sucks, but because it is only DEATH, already), but that nobody really accepts that we're going to die. Sure, we know it, but does anyone really act like tomorrow, they could step off the curb and get flattened by a bus? No. Nobody takes the extra seven seconds to genuinely tell their partner that they love them before striding out into the bus-laden world. There's knowledge of a fact, and then acceptance of it. This post is all about Wedge's acceptance.
Or, he's just letting us Yumatarians know that the military hasn't pushed him off a bluff somewhere... yet.
i had this horrible dream last night. i was playing risk w/tina and then we both got up and went to the kitchen, and right as i was reaching into the fridge to grab a Code-Red Mt. Dew, my phone rang and it was you and you needed my help/advice/something but you were in a panic.
then i woke up and all was well, until i went to take a drink of dew and realized to my horror that i'd only dreamed grabbing one, and there was, in fact, nothing to drink whatsoever anywhere near my bed.
