So, my cinema class got invited to go to the Cannes Film Festival. Of course, this is a once (literally) in a lifetime opportunity. It will never ever happen again. And thus, everyone is conviced that I must go

i totally understand not wanting to de dependant (omg do i understand!), but you are young, and you have your entire life to pay your own way. soon enough youll miss the good ol days when other people took care ofthe bills and you had all the fun. as long as you are not actively taking advantage of people, and clearly doing the best you can to support yourself when you are able to, i think its okay. your parents would be awfully cruel (imo) if they made you feel bad over 300 euros that will clearly be a great and rare experience. so dont make yourself feel bad for them (or whomever).
believe me, life gets way harder from here on out (it gets good too, but hard), and you stop having quite so much liberty to travel and experience new things, cause youre stuck trying to support yourself.... enjoy it now!
yes, but this is after the 775 euros my bus trip cost... i wasnt really in a good state when i wrote this. i was in more of a freaking out one.
ao yeah 775 dropped on the bus trip 300 cannes and the problem is that its too late to cancel on this summer trip and the train ticket alone is 195 (which ive basically already saved)
it's good that you think about it all before deciding, that means you won't be wasting money on things that aren't worth it. But Cannes...very much a once in a lifetime chance.
You should definitely go for it. And i highly doubt you'll regret it. Unless of couse, film means nothing to you, in which case you shouldn't bother. :p
heyy man, I know what you mean about being sick of being so dependent...But, the way I see it, independency (financially) comes soon enough, and lasts for fucking-ever. Take advantage while you can!...just don't ever get a credit card! hah -Morg
