Driving in Florida is very interesting... it seems to take a lot of patience as well as a fear of other drivers. In Michigan most people like to keep a safe distance between their car and the one in front of them. This isn't always the case of course but generally, that's what people do. Here however, if you do that, some car, some where, will cut ( Read more... )

My dad would have a field day down there! :) And I dont mean it a good way. He gets frustrated driving in Saginaw, Detroit and Troy all the time. It's quite entertaining. Maybe I'll bring him down to drive around and see what happens ;)

Stay safe!

Ha! Yeah it's confusing too which makes it worse! So when there are a lot of tourists around, they drive slowly to figure out where they are going, and then the impatient people whip around them and cut them off and other crazy things. Can't wait for you to visit ;)

Haha do they have a lot of legal U turns at stoplights too? Like, around a cement meridian at a light someone can just do a U turn? It weirded me out the first couple times I saw it. That and the lights were painted black.

I read an article about the worst drivers in the country and a couple of the cities listed were in Florida. Drive safely!

lol yeah they do have those weird turns! I wasn't sure we could do that at first but there was a U-turn sign. The lights are weird, they don't hang like they do in MI but are bolted down. I suppose that's a safety thing though with all the hurricanes. And I believe it about the worst drivers! They are scary!
