Very well done, an interesting take on Boomer's feelings during that scene. I particularly like the idea that Boomer gets to steal back a small part of the life that Anthena took from her.

I was really nervous posting my first story Based on this scene but I find Boomer to be such a conflicted, sad character who really gets trapped in her need to belong someplace and I just imagine her being quite petulant about the fact that her life wasn't what she thought it was.

Nice job!! I have to say I've always looked at Boomer in this scene as pretty horrible. You have made me see her in a different light. Her thoughts of her lost life and what love is are very interesting. Not to mention wanting on some level to feel that love that Helo is really meaning for Athena. She is such a complex character from start to finish and I really think you've captured all that turmoil, pain and vengenence that is tumbling around inside her heart and mind.

I have problems with that scene in that it seems unnecessary to the larger plot, but since its there I wanted to explore why Boomer didn't look for another option to get out of there unnoticed. Boomers a character so trapped by her pain and need to have something to grasp onto that she always manages to trip over it. Where as Athena is a person who understands that who are is based on th choices you make, but Boomer I think gets hung up on the fact she didn't have a choice in the beginning. I'm rambling now...

Wow, thank you so much. I had a intended an actual Helo/Athena fic to be my first in this fandom but then this just came out of no where and I learned a while ago not to argue with my muse. He always wins.
