Beautifully written. This is some great insight to Boomer's thought processes and feelings during that scene (way more insight than TPTB ever gave it). I hate that it had to come at the expense of Helo and Athena, but I'm glad that you allowed Boomer to reclaim some of what she felt she'd lost. You make that scene make a little bit of sense.

Thank you so much. I guess some of the inspiration for this was the fact that scene seems a litle pointless save the fact to get Park and Pennikett sweaty and naked. I wanted there to be more to it than that.

Oh, wow! Awesome job with the paradox of Boomer/Athena. I love how you have her seeing them as separate, love the unwelcome intrusion of Cavil into the scene. Very well done.

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. I was really nervous posting it since I'm new to the fandom and the story isn't something I usually write. But I think the parrelle journeys of Boomer and Athena are so interesting because you have one that drowns in the things she didn't have any control over and then another who gets that that doesn't really matter but the choices you make int he aftermath.

Boomer definitely has reason to be a little pissed at how things turned out but at same time I don't think she takes accountability for her part in her own journey until her very last scene. Really interesting stuff.
