do you think it is okay to love a persocom? what about a chobit? okay, onto those of you who haven't seen chobits. a persocom is like a computer...it's a...umm..easiest way to explain it would be robot. it is a computer that looks like a person (unless it is a mobile unit -- they're really little) and in the anime a lot of people have fallen in ( Read more... )

We live in a world full of furrie con. love, anime fetish hentai, and banana milkshakes. I think it's perfectly fine and unique. This coming from a person who based his LJ username, 4 fanficitons, and my personality on an anime character that I fell for back in 2001.

i was just wondering how everyone else felt about this "perversion" of the natural order. it is something that makes you think...or i hope does. i mean it has to do with making the distinction between an object and a person (kinda - - persocoms aren't people, hell, chobits aren't either but you understand, right?). just wondering, who was the anime character? i am not so sorry to admit that i have fallen for 2 anime characters.

Explorer Fam is from a 1995 anime called "Ruin Explorers". It was released in Japan as Ihrie & Fam. I've collected almost everything associated with the anime except for the original manga which my friend in Japan is constantly searching for.

Neh, have you ever seen the anime, Metropolis?

ah, never seen that...or read it. really, i don't really remember ever even have heard of it...but i think i may have. i've seen most of metropolis. i didn't really like the anime... not sure why, i know i don't like the art style...but i'm sure it was more than that...it has just been a while since i've seen it.

heh. love. my opinion: you CANT choose to fall in love. it just happens. whether it be with a human, living or dead (not necrophilia, but honest-to-god love), or with a machine, or with some mix of the two, theres no avoiding it. i dont think anyone has a right to call love perversion, regardless of the way it manifests itself.

^^^ then again, im just a crazy, hopeless-romantic-freak, so whatever.

yeah...i feel the same way. love is love...no matter what. i am not a "hopeless-romantic-freak" though, as you so elequently put it. i do feel that love can and will find a way. i was just wondering if anyone thinks differently.

sumomo is kinda annoying though...with her little wake-up exercises at least. i will loose it if she was all like that. i could definately use a little sumomo like persocom to wake me up though...i never wake up when i'm supposed to. she could like scream in my ear or something...or jump on me. ^_^

i like the whole phone call thing she does and how she is programmed to dance when on standby. XD that was awesome. chi was really cool though...i swear i fell for her.

um...actually i have never read that manga but i wouldnt have a problem with that situation. if i were in the situation i would probably go nuts analizing myself as to why i feel like that and edvintually send my self to a mental institution for going insane....i would probably keep asking my already answered queastions and analyze the situation into the ground. well just rambaling sorry but as to your queastion i wouldnt have a problem with it....as to a human being in love with chobits or a perscom

i probably wouldn't analyze myself a lot but i could totally see why someone would. i would think a lot of people don't agree with it...hell, i never feel people think my human/human relationships are okay by most people so being with a machine would make me a little more paranoid...but i do think i would like to be with a persocom or chobit. i think my personality fits that of many of the persocoms in the anime (a lot of them were very quiet and seemed to be very introverted). it is okay to ramble...i am happy to hear how people would really feel about it. oh, what you would think about it if someone else was with a persocom? i mean, would you analyze them or whatever? just wondering.

I've read some of the Chobits manga, and I liked it! I also have no problem with a persecom and human being together...and like you say...love is love! ~_^

i have only read the first manga but i plan to get them all...that's something i do if i really like an anime...or if the anime was a little confusing...both of which criteria are met by flcl (though it didn't answer any questions really). i'm not sure which anime i liked more though...of course, chobits is already at flcl level and it is still sinking in...and i haven't read the manga completely...i think chobits will be better in the end. ^_^ both of them are still good though.
