Hot water
pouring down in
liquid pinpricks
piercing through the tension
in my skin,
melting away the
aching in my muscles,
I close my eyes and tip
my head, leaning back
into the steam, away
from the words, excuses,
teeth grinding of the day and
for just a little while
I listen to the echoes of
my vices, poison voices
running down the drain.

I am poetically constipated. lol I got nothing again this morning. This only puts me three poems short. I'm not panicking. I need to just sit down and perhaps freewrite some on paper and then turn it into three separate poems for posting, and then I'll be good. Ack I ended up missing yesterday and I think I might miss today too.

Just feeling a bit dry. When inspiration strikes I will make it up.

And if it doesn't soon, I will force it out with a shovel.

I think today's poem is going to come late again this morning.

I can't scoop anything out of my brain yet today. It hurts.
