Praying you find the words to speak, when you know you ought to speak -- whether it be with your hubby or your friends. Praying too that someone close to you notices and meets you halfway, so that it will be easier to share more of what you need to share. I think it's important to continue to get close to people, in spite of the possible pain it could bring -- the other kind of pain, the pain of loneliness and having no one to talk to even when you are desperate to be heard, has to be worse. And we, as humans, are not meant to hold ourselves alone and separate from others, no matter the cost of having a relationship with them. So keep taking those baby steps, even if they ultra tiny baby steps.
Thank you for sharing that you are struggling, maybe it will help you to put it in words here first, so that you can speak it aloud to those who close to you.

I think I asked you this before, but how did you get so clever???
I know that you are right, and I do know in my heart of hearts that I can't live without relationships. I love my hubby but it is not enough. I need other people too. It is just hard, when you feel you don't have anything to give back. I have never been the kind of person who takes from a relationship, intentionally.
Thank you for caring so much for someone you've never met, Lin. I can't tell you how much that means.
you know, my voice mail on my cell is hugely problematic; five voice messages that actually came into my voice mail TWO WEEKS ago finally popped up yesterday, and one of them was yours!! And I am SO sorry I missed you, and even sorrier that you probably thought I was ignoring you. I'll call you back as soon as the opportunity presents itself, I promise.
(((((((lyria_theringer))))))) sweetie I am so sorry that Shawn had said some hateful things to you.
You can call me anytime you like 1 (270) 226-9726 and if I am in class just leave a message and I will call you back. My real name is Kim, and I am your friend when you need one.
Oh, Kim Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much your offer means to me. Thank you for reaching out. I will take you up on that offer, not sure when as I don't have a long distance plan right now, but I will definately call you.
You are so sweet, and I hope that one day I can do for you what you just did for me!
Its a lot of work to keep friendships up - whether online or in person. Actually, I'm not entirely sure which one is harder!
I have vowed to be more there for my friends as well this year, and already, there are days when I just feel so far behind that I am sure that they are all thinking "*&^%$#@! Candi!" And I wouldn't blame them. Just by reaching out in this forum, though is one way of keeping up. I understand.
((((((((((darling one)))))))))) Let me tell you how my heart leapt with joy when I heard your voice on my answering machine. I had a very bad weekend too, and I wasn't home much. We need to schedule a day to talk, because I always feel better after hearing your voice. And I want to make you feel better too. I miss you alot, and I worry that I haven't been a good friend to you. Just not enough time, but I need to make the time. I don't want to lose you either.

Yes we will talk soon, even if it is only by email. And that would be fine by me, too!
