The Skinwalker really did a number on Thomas, and this was the only way I could think of where three days would negate seven years of trying to overcome his demon.

Very nicely written, and that sting at the end really got me. Thank you for writing this - I found it a little hard to accept how a few days of torture could override years and years of hard-won control, but this was plausible and dark and chilling and fantastic.

Thank you for reading this. It's an ugly, painful sort of thing and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. But like you, I found it difficult to accept how easily Thomas fell to the Skinwalker, and I just had to dig deeper, trying to figure out what the Skinwalker broke, and this was the first plausible thing that came to mind.

I haven't dared try to work out the second possibility, but someday. I'm still really glad you enjoyed it, and it rang true.
