I need to move a really heavy piece of furniture from the basement up to the living room. Joe could do it with one other strong person and some hand trucks. Alas, I am not strong enough to be the second person. Anyone out there willing to offer their back to beautify my home? We're hoping to do this tonight (unlikely) or tomorrow (Sunday).

Every single show I watch has lost at least one important cast member in the finale either to death or incarceration. Granted, I tend to watch crime television so I'm referring to the CSI's, Law and Orders, Cold Case, NCIS, and other shows in this genre. It's like a memo went out that everyone had to sacrifice people. Very strange...

I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Meems for all that she does. Over the last couple of weeks she devoted much time and energy to helping me prepare for surgery and then taking excellent care of my house and my cat while I was in Anchorage having the surgery. We were scheduled to fly home yesterday on Alaska Airlines. That flight got canceled and they rescheduled us for a flight an hour later. Our original tickets were in first class because I felt the extra room would be useful following surgery and the second flight they scheduled us for did not have first class available, so we got bumped to yet a ( Read more... )

I feel FANTASTIC! I have not in all honesty felt this good in months, maybe years. My doctor keeps reminding me to take it slow because I just had major surgery and so I am following instructions, but I am completely confident at this point that I made the absolute correct decision.

My hyst was at 7:30 this morning and I'm feeling amazingly well this evening. I've done several short walks through the hallways and I'm spending more time sitting up in a chair than I am lying in bed. I should be leaving the hospital tomorrow assuming that my bowels do their job. I'll post more tomorrow. Cheers!

As many who know me have experienced, I can be a bit unpredictable and scary when I'm going through hormone flux. Next week on Tuesday I will be undergoing a full hysterectomy including removal of both ovaries.
