Once upon a time in...Maine?!

Okay, what do you get when you mix old-fashioned fairy tales, modern world drama, and sizzling femslashy chemistry? That'd be Once upon a Time, a new ABC show that premiered a few weeks ago. I first read thejollyape's spot-on essay regarding the femslash, and after watching the episodes aired thus far, I have to conclude that this is one of the most ( Read more... )

lol I totally saw this coming from you. and I've seen it a lot on tumblr so I expected it to catch on pretty soon. I don't particularly ship them yet but I might later on. I'm still pissed I can't ship emma with snow cos it's her mom and that's just... not cool. =p

btw, have you seen this new spanish soap people seem to be raving about? tierra de lobos has some nekkid ladies that sometimes make out... with each other.

lol I totally saw this coming from you.

Is that a good or a bad thing? :D But yeah, I probably wouldn't ship those two as much as I do without the essay I linked to in the entry. That totally screwed with my head. And because shipping Emma with Snow White is SO WRONG OMG.

YES. Tierra de Lobos, I just downloaded this week's episode. <3 The hotness! OMG. I just love how we can show so much more skin in Europe - this show is almost racy at times.

lol it's a good thing for fangirls? but maybe bad for me as it shows how long I've been online to be able predict behavior like this. lol. I know I can still ship Emma and Snow platonically or as a family buuuuuut it's not as fun without a bit of femslash. :( so yeah, NOT GOING THERE. xD

why am I even asking this? 95% of the time you're watching. I saw some gifs the other day and was intrigued. what I didn't realize was I should have been expecting borderline porn. xD oh please, regular TV in Europe is like cable tv here in America. I'm not usually prudish but sometimes I still am shocked!:p

Haha! Yeah, I was just starting to go into withdrawal and needed more Spanish lesbians. My prayers were answered! And funny, I was just talking about this with someone, that yeah, your cable TV is regular TV over here, heh. We're much more strict when it comes to showing violence.

Personally, I really do respect Disney and their touch with fairy tales. Even with making it quite unrealistic.

But, I've been meaning to check this show out. Simply because I adore stories. And I hear Kristin Bauer was in the show.

Oh, don't get me wrong, those Disney movies were my childhood. <3 But when one scrutinises them a little more closely, there are quite a few things that rub me the wrong way.

But yeah, I highly recommend checking out this show! ♥

I love the premise of the show! And you're right, the parallel storytelling makes the whole thing even more interesting.

Sadly, I don't see the chemistry between Emma and Regina at all as of yet, but maybe I'll get there.

Also, I want a pet unicorn.

The premise is so out there, I love it. *g*

You know, I probably wouldn't ship those two as much without reading the essay I linked to in the actual entry. That completely corrupted me!

OUaT recaps now too?? YOU ARE MY HERO!!! *hugs* you spoil me.

Yeah, I'll be honest, I wasn't too hopeful about this show, but as soon as I saw who the stars were... well... how can I not?

I've had a thing for JMo since season one of House and for Lana Parrilla since that crappy show Miami Medical. Both together? Sharing scenes? Snarking at each other? Yes please!

Can't say I ship them though... the snark is waaaaaay too good.

I really hope the show continues doing well because there is SO much potential (and hotness) there.

Don't know about recaps just yet, but I'm definitely watching the show intently!

Jennifer Morrison's acting skills were wasted on House, but this time she has a little more spunk. Loving it!

Heh, I only ship those two because of the essay I linked to. Makes it impossible not to!
