Today I reconnected with my best friend from elementary school! She moved to Virginia in 6th grade and I never knew what happened to her after that. She's back in Wisconsin now, so next time we're back in the midwest, I'll get to see her!

Happy Belated Birthday, Emily!

(apparently being on vacation for a week really screwed up my sense of time - seriously, where did this month go???)

Day 6 (yesterday)
The best thing that happened yesterday is that i found out work is closed on Thursday AND Friday. AND we have a half day tomorrow!  WOO HOO!!!!  I love 2.5 day work weeks.

Day 7
Sims 2 Castaway for my DS. 'Nuff said.

And thus the 7 days off happiness posting is fulfilled.

Day 5 (yesterday)
Matt and I went back to the Elfin Forest for an AMAZING hike. The hiking book lady was not kidding when she said the mountain was a strenuous trail - it is 1.6 miles to the top and it's a VERY steep climb even with the switchbacks. But totally worth it. I've discovered that Chistmas Eve & Christmas Day are the only time of the year I don't like living in CA. It makes me miss my family about 50 times the usual amount.
