For the most part, I’m happy at my job. I love what I teach, my kiddos are pretty damn adorable, especially this year, my co-workers are all nice, and I get along really well with the special ed team. The admin leaves me alone, and I have the freedom to run my PALS [PreK special education] classroom how I want it to run, and for the first time ( Read more... )

I didn't know you both hate flying.
I much prefer flying to driving, I have to admit, and the only time I go on a road trip is WGT. But that's only around 300 miles.

I've always hated flying, I think that's because I'm terrified of death and with flying, my life is basically out of my control. If something happens, I'm pretty much fucked.

I know there are studies that driving is more dangerous, but at least with driving, you're in control?

Wow. I'm sorry about your commute. :( :(

But that's so exciting that you love all the other aspects of your job! That's hard to come by.

Road trips are so great. :) I'm glad that you have survived all of yours (relationship-wise), lol.

My job isn't perfect, but compared to other jobs I've had within the same district at other schools, it's completely amazing

My commute does suck, but I'd rather drive far to not be bullied at work, then drive closeby to be bullied :/

You get to see a lot of the US in a way that the frequent flyers never experience! Very cool! My hub and I drove from San Fran down Highway 1 to Long Beach, CA one summer. It was amazing. Like stuff out of the movies. Do it sometime if you have not already done so.

That's on our "to do" list ;) We have a close friend in California, and we want to visit him and go to more of the California National Parks and drive Highway 1
