This story is based on a real event and takes place in a real place. Peanut Falls are part of several hiking trails at the Palisades in New Jersey/New York. Since this story, the trail has been rebuilt. I recently hiked there last time I visited home. Here is a picture I took

It's okay :) I've been to 8 proms since then because my husband is a high school teacher and chaperoning prom, LOL. I don't think I really missed much, just loud music and food ;)

In retrospect, I'm okay with missing prom. My husband is a high-school teacher and he chaperones prom every year. I've gone to 8 different proms since I've moved here, LOL. I really didn't miss much.

There’s a sign beside a waterfall on a trail my family frequents that says “People have died getting just one step closer.” We always take pictures with the sign and use it’s quote as all purpose advice. But it’s true; few things are as dangerous and compelling as waterfalls that look climbable.

Sounds like these are good memories. This was a nice entry.
