Was freezing just eggs not a medical possibility back then? estelleFebruary 6 2022, 17:16:33 UTC
I know that they used to say frozen eggs could not be kept as well without sperm.
It's funny, some years ago I thought about that. Because I wanted to have children but could not afford them and did not have a partner. I wondered whether someone would want my eggs and raise the child as their own. I never seriously looked into it because I figured nobody would want to. It is the counterpart to your "nobody would want to do this for me". We humans are strange creatures.

As someone who struggled with infertility and had similar feelings to Lyssa in knowing from a young age, and somehow knowing I would struggle with it, this is incredibly insensitive to say.
That's a whole lot. I'm kind of surprised that they didn't offer freezing your eggs. As that is what they offered when my friend got cancer. I'm sorry that happened to you and would adoption be feasible for you?
