Eric's friend Brendan arrived on Sunday from Buffalo, NY for a week-long visit, and so far it's been a blast. Eric and I felt our first earthquake last night at 8:05 pm: a 5.6, deemed a "moderate" earthquake, with an epicenter about 9 miles east of here. For anyone who hasn't tried it (that would include me, up until 5 minutes ago), spaghetti squash absolutely rocks. It's a squash that, when cooked, has "meat" that resembles strands of spaghetti. Sure, they taste a bit like squash, but they have a pretty mild flavor. I'm eating it with some awesome spaghetti sauce with shrimps and mushrooms, and ( Read more... )

Eric bought plane tickets for our trip to KS, so now I can let you know when I'll be there:

We'll be flying in on Friday, October 26th, getting to Emporia around 10pm or later.
We'll be leaving Emporia around 3am on Sunday, October 28th. >.<

Hopefully we'll be able to arrange a visit while I'm there!
