Dilemma. For the first time in forever my money is not tied up in bills/presents/my sister. So I was thinking of splurging on myself.

Options:1) WoW subscription (I'd have to play on my laptop though, which isn't horrible but I planned on waiting until I got my desktop model up to speed

I WOULD EVEN PLAY ALLIANCE FOR *YOOOOOOOU*. Draenei are the only Alliance race I'd want to play anyway, because DUDE THEY LOOK COOL.

I started looking at the WoWWiki, and I've pretty much convinced myself that I'm going to start subscribing. Just, ya know... FALFJAKFSDJDK TAURENS/TROLLS/ORCS ARE SO COOOOOOOL.

I feel like such a dweeb now. If I ever create a Nelf just to do /bounce, /dance, and /shake emotes, promise me that you'll beat the shit out of me.

When you finally give into the siren call of WoW, I'm horde on Lethon (Orcs ftw) and Alliance on Haomarush. Or I would be if I weren't in the midst of exams. I take it you've already used the free trial?

DS is really cool. If you get a WoW subscription then you'll get sucked in and have to pay every month to feed your addiction, and you'll never have money left.

I don't know. I mean, I would love a DS, but I'd probably be investing the same amount of money into it as I would WoW (one game bi-monthly at $35+ vs a $15 subscription once a month, not including the initial $100 investment in the DS system itself). WoW also allows me to get a bonus social boost, since I know several people that play.

I worried about getting addicted, but even when I do get obsessed with a game I burn out to respectable levels pretty quickly. Every time I get a new Sims expansion I play non-stop for about a week and then cut back down. So I don't think I'm in danger of becoming a crazy shut-in or anything.

Plus, COME ON. TAURENS.
