Before I actually launch into this rant, it's important that I make a few points, the most import being that I have a hard time concentrating on work and music on the same time when the music is decent.  The only way to have a small musical distraction when I'm working on homework  is by turning on music that has no content or redeeming value.

Haha, Jeff. I get what you are saying.

Now *I* don't watch American Idol, but certain members of my household do, so I've a lot more than my fair share of it. There are times when people audition and do terrible and get ridiculed by the judges, but I think they sound pretty close to certain "artists" that might get played on Q102.

These contestants are usually completely shocked when told they suck the big one, and I guess I understand why they are shocked. They sound like who the emulate, but when you are emulating some of the worst pure vocal talent that actually gets played on the radio, you can't compare to someone who actually can sing.

Anyway, most popular music today completely sucks and makes me feel sorry for humanity. When that happens, I usually stomp n00bs on Xbox, so humanity can feel sorry for me :)

Dude, Fergie sucks hard. I've never liked her and I can't believe she gets paid to be as retarded as she is.

And sadly, her 5th grade level spelling is better than her 2nd grade dressing level...as in, matching and finding seasonally sppropriate things to put on her body are unknown concepts to her. Retard...

Is it bad if I change the song to "Pope-a-licious" when I sing it?

Also, is it bad if I change the F-I-F-T-Y-C-E-N-T to S-P-A-C-E-P-O-P-E when I hear Snoop/50 doing "P.I.M.P"?
