Oh, I really liked this, the reasons they seem to have.

The one line in particular that made this stand out for me: "How do you keep up a lie that no one believes?"

I'm not sure if you mean just the two of them, or the whole expedition, but either way it works. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks, the line you mentioned didn't sound right when I tried to reword so I hoped it worked in the way I used it, also according to me anyway if anyone else on the expedition pays attention they might see through the masks as well.
