Well, that was no surprise--for the last day or so solid, after that huge earthquake thing that had shaken sprays of cement dust from the ceiling, every CB radio channel had been pretty much filled with the panicked sounds of crumbling buildings and people screaming.

For the most part, it was completely uninteresting, except for when they were present-minded enough to give directions pointing to where it currently was, which wasn't often, so Ada channel-surfed.

It WAS apparently just at, or somewhere near, Fifth and Thirtieth, so that would be a good place to start surveying the damage (and if there were any people in its wake--or anything on them).

With this in mind, Ada makes her way over noisy carpet of gravel, snow and broken glass to the intersection; it's about a fifteen-minute hike altogether, but at least this time she's dressed for the weather.
