Memorial Day
Don't know if it will happen, but since we have invited people to our house for memorial day, i was thinking if [some] people were interested we might melt some aluminum down. just a thought. perhaps it will rain and then we won't for sure. -
Planting Beds are Ready
Last night we made a strong effort to get to the compost site before they shutdown, and while the bobcat operator was working. we loaded about 1 yard of 50-50 mixed material. pretty much dropped the truck onto the axle bump stops. the front end was pointing upwards the whole ride home (less than a mile). then i spent the evening moving the dirt ( Read more... ) -
FNG!
so i like using the FNG acronym. it is at our place this week again. it will be wet out so be prepared for games and/or movies. we can have a movie/game upstairs, and a movie/game downstairs if we like. or people can sit and talk like usual ;-) upstairs movie can be louder, and the downstairs movie can be bigger. those are the trade-offs ( Read more... ) -
Time for summer projects
A few of the project that would be nice to accomplish this summer:
- Rebuild the deck
- Replace the Furnace and A/C
- Rebuild the utility workbench in the garage
- Work on "The Truck"
- Fill the planter boxes while they are still useful
- Clean out the basement
- Clean out the computer graveyard
- Build home theater in the basement *unlikely soon
- Fix irislady's car door

Weekend
We had a great weekend. FNG was at our place and it was pretty good. Most of the guys hung out in the basement and worked on replacing a screen in an Apple Powerbook G4. not the easiet thing in the world, but doable. Linksys WiFi and Backyard Biodiesel

Fun afternoon
So work has been slow. apart from downloading things and fixing broken computers, today i laid down about 4 inches of weld. i did a very little amount of mig welding. i am going to have to get myself one of those still. work has a nice miller setup. had a good setup the last place i worked also. need more practice that is for sure, but it isn ( Read more... ) -
