I mean, I love fish, but if I want to send a message to my horrible neighbor in a fit of passive-aggression, will a fish take a crap in their front yard on command? Will it?

no, but spare fishtanks can be thrown through windows. I suppose dogs can also be thrown through windows, but that's probably not a good idea.*

I love speciesism and the idea that animals other than humans are commodities, here for human exploitation, and disposable.

Not to mention that their idea of caring for a Betta would be a living hell on that fish.

wait wait! I edited for fishbaby pictures! say hi so I can tell him you said hi, and... I like living alone so I can talk to my fish.

If they start talking back, though, that's not good.

It's funny, I saw the pictures and said "hi" in my mind before you even asked.

True story.

And if your fish start talking back that would be awesome beyond belief.

aww. I'll let him know. he's so cute... he nibbles fingers. incessantly. sometimes I just stick my fingers in there so he can do his thing.
I probably shouldn't cater to his apparent addiction issues, but... at least he's not doing heroin and hookers.
See what a good parent I am? Clearly I'm ready to have at least seven children.

ARGH! God forbid anyone actually chose a pet on the basis of how much energy they can put into it... Although I do like the idea of people not adopting/buying an animal they can't afford, but the tone of this is just so... disposable. UGH.
