I think I know where you are coming from when you talk about the feeling that you weren't ready. When I was competing in figure skating (I started and competed as an adult) I entered events where you got to hear the music once and then went out on the ice to improvise your program.

I heard and saw so much in much of that music but didn't have the skating skills to pull it off, very frustrating. So the work you put in to get to the point where you could do this technically truly shows. I especially love the partial screen shots and fades.

Wow, I think it takes so much courage to engage in new sport, especially such as figure skating when you're an adult, let alone compete... not to mention a kind of competition when you have to improvise. You must be really bold.
