Well, it's starting to look more and more like the car was in an accident before we bought it, because the problem appears to be in the front axle. The last time, they replaced the control arm for the passenger front tire, which was severely bent, but there's still some issue with the axle itself, so it sounds like the previous owner must have hit ( Read more... ) -
Just Can't Win

Bustenhalter!
I bought bras today! This may not seem like a big deal, but I NEVER buy myself new clothes. I only broke down and bought new bras because my last, poor, shredded bra finally bit the dust. Thankfully, they were have a "buy two, get two free" sale, so I now have FOUR BRAS. I don't think I've ever had four new bras! I'd forgotten what a well-fitting ( Read more... ) -

I've been mulling over the new year and trying to decide what I should really be focusing on getting done this year. I have a lot of things planned to make, and I'll probably have the house to myself this summer if M gets the internship he applied for, so I'll have the opportunity to knock out a bunch of projects if I stay focused. Launching January
M has set off for the wilds of El Paso to go see his dad for a few days, which means I get the bed to myself! I've always had a terrible time sleeping next to other people, and even though I love him to death, he does some crazy maneuvering in his sleep because he's such an active dreamer, which means I usually have pretty broken up nights. I am so, so glad that 2017 is done. It is by far the biggest trash can of a year that I've ever had, and I just want to set it on fire and never think about it again. Well, we didn't get the house. It turns out that even though the listing agent told us that we were the first and only offer, that they had, in fact, several offers on the place. We were basically dismissed, and they've countered the other person's offer, so it sounds like they're trying to squeeze as much out of the place as they can ( Read more... ) -

Friday night, I decided on the spur of the moment to go and see the Casanova exhibit at the Kimbell. It's all 18th century art and objects, and the museum stays open late on Friday nights, and is half-off, ( Read more... )
