Still on the move through Europe. From Salzburg we went down to Venice, then Rome, then a short (couple of hours short) in Milan before coming over to Barcelona. Still travelling around. After leaving the UK we went to Prague for 4 days which was nice. We got the train from there to Vienna for lunch and then kept going down to Salzburg. A few months ago I totally fell in love with the soundtrack of [Title of Show] which has got to be one of the funniest and coolest musicals i've heard in ages. It's brilliant, it's original, it's awesome and unfortunatly no-one realised that and it closed last week ( Read more... )

I'll be back in London this time on holiday rather than working. I've been watching the dollar crash further and further over the last two weeks with a growing sense of dread. At least it's not as bad as the first time I went over when $1 bought 33 pence. At the moment at least it's 40 but i'm still expecting it to crash further ( Read more... )

I caught up on the first 3 episodes of the new Spooks spin-off this weekend. This has as much to do with Spooks as Hustle does. They are sorta made by the same people but are nothing alike. Code 9 was apparently created by David Wolstoncroft (but he doesn't actually write any of it) and is produced by Kudos and has Spooks in the title but that's ( Read more... )

So the good part of working at Hurstville is that I have two 20-50 minute bus rides and two 10-30 minute train rides plus a half hour lunch break in an office that’s too far from the shops to go anywhere. This book was interesting. It's the autobiography of a former Fundamentalist Mormon who grew up in a polygamist community. At 18 she was married off to a 50 year old with 3 other wives and for the next 17 years she was treated like a slave/punching bag/baby maker.
