Someone made up these Rationalist reading lists for the Hogwarts houses. It's pretty neat.

The best part is that Guards! Guards! is one the Hufflypuff list and it's the only one that gets any Pratchett. Suck it, jerks.

Oh, what cool lists! Will have to look into details tomorrow (the connection at the hotel is awful atm and I have to run), but I love the idea and they look interesting! Do I spot Watchmen on that one? :D

Ha, yes, Watchmen is on Slytherin's! I think I might actually like their reading list the best...

Okay, my first thought was that Gryffindors are not necessarily rational and so there should definitely be some completely random books "just for fun" on that list, but apart from that? YES. GOOD. This is awesome and I really have to give all of the lists a closer look.

It really is neat to look at and ponder the choices. And of course the houses will all be reading their other crap, this is just for the Rationality O-level.

I know, I know. ;) And including everything for every spectrum of each house would just end in an endless list, which wouldn't be any fun. Still, I'm almost proud to have read some of the Ravenclow section, haha.

Ha, yeah, which I love, but I'll always take Pratchett over Moore without question.

It's really silly that Pratchett isn't on the list because Vetinari is obviously Slytherin.

Truth. Though maybe it's just that Guards! Guards! presents a more thorough "rationalism is the best!" message, and the Vetinari-heavy books don't show that as much.

Terry Pratchett is great for me (almost all the audiobooks are totally amazing as well), but not for everyone. If you ever want a start on it, I recommend beginning with the book Hogfather.

The main aspect is tight writing, with an immense amount of general humour and lots of humour regarding topical issues (but in a very different setting). I don't know. I loved him from day one, and I'm pretty much always in the process of re-reading one of his books.
