I Googled to find out what this was about too. That's a shocking revelation to have to discover about someone you respected.

That's exactly how I feel about it. I can't even look at a MZB book anymore. My eyes just slide off them when I see them at the used bookstore.

Yes. And pretty much all of her books, really. I just eventually got so angry that she was perpetuating something she claimed to be visualizing beyond.

I wondered if someone would write about the death of their love for a musician/author/actor/TV show or what-have-you, and I'm glad you did-- and in such lovely yet moving prose.

This book meant so much to me too. I read it multiple times. The work isn't evil, even if the author lived her life evilly. What she did was abhorrent, but that doesn't make your interpretation of her work any less sacred. My heart is with your heart. This pain is heavy to bear.
