I'm afraid I am going to break my habitual silence to rant tonight. My brother, who was cleaning up after the dog, was jumped and beaten on the way to the garbage can. He is autistic, and was apperantly acting like a zombie while walking to the garbage. A group of young men saw him, circled around him, and began hitting him. Luckily, a neighbor saw

Thanks. I know what you mean, sometmes I just can't believe how messed-up people can be. I mean, it's obvious that my brother is disabled. He's 6 feet tall, with a goatee and mustache, walking around like a zombie, for pete's sake! But, it looks like that's why they attacked him, because they knew he'd be easy. Real brave of them.

Unfortunately, no. There isn't a working light where the garbage is, so neither was able to tell what they looked like. Luckily, he has a black eye coming up, but the bruising isn't as bad as we thought it might be. He can still open his eye, and the cut above his eye, though still a knot, has gone down a bit. His jaw isn't as swollen, and he says he's not really hurting, as long as he doesn't touch the bruises. Thanks for your hugs, when crap like this happens, hugs are muchly appreciated.
