Also, one of our esteemed directors woke up this morning thinking: Oh, I'm going to France to sell stuff. It would be nice if I had those spiffy Powerpoints in French. For tonight.

Annual review - Result!
It was nearly a love fest.
Frankly, the worst I can say about this place is that most programmers will describe themselves as semi-autistic and the lunchtime conversation is often scarce, with every one looking at their phone.
Summary:
Them: We love you, we adore your cakes, we're going to recommend a hefty raise.
Me: Thank you, thank you, yes -

Dear co-worker
The fact that there's only the two of us still in, that you sit at the other end of the room and I have headphones on isn't a justification for letting go a couple of long and loud farts. The video I was listening to is over, so there was nothing to cover the noise.
A simple "Sorry" might have been acceptable.
