Yes. And No. People do walk through from time to time where Armageddon will take place. Some even live within the zone. So Yes. If you're asking rather or not Armageddon is taking place at the current time. No. Not yet.

Ah, well this is poetry you see, and I have no belief in gods, so it was a rhetorical question:)

I think we are on the edge of real system collapse induced by voracious greed and climate change. So the end of civilization as we know it is nigh, but not the rapture, lol

I have been worried about the environment for a long time also. Living in Florida makes me have a rather strong urge to find higher ground, soon, but not too far north, in case of ice age.
