Baby consumerism

Boy, I thought regular old American consumerism was bad. Baby consumerism is fuggin' nuts.
Walk into a bookstore. Every book cover in the parenting section says, "10 things you must know about such-and-such." Translation: if you don't know the things in this book, your child will grow up to have very poor SAT scores and will rob liquor stores to ( Read more... )

Agreed.

Just try to relax and enjoy your baby, chum. We had so much lame stuff that we didn't use. They just need the basics. They don't really care about anything but mom initially anyway. You're going to love watching her grow and learn.
