As I was reading Planet Gnome I came across an entry from Jeff Waugh's journal talking about listening to a specific artist on the same headphones I had on my head. Coincidences are scary sometimes :).

I grabbed iTunes for windows today. Absolutely killer. Major Kudos to Apple. I plugged my iPod in and things just worked. I haven't been able to break it at all; uploading tracks off the network, editing id3 tags, encoding wavs into mp3, and listening all in parallel. Got the beginnings of the group Wiki/Blog for the CFest IT group. I decided to use SnipSnap instead of blosxom and a wiki. SnipSnap just makes everything fit together well. It isn't a perfect Wiki or Blog, but it covers almost everything I want. The only real downside is the whole java thing. But I can deal with that ( Read more... )

I am testing out the gnome-blog client via the BloggerAPI. Fairly nice, but I miss the nicer features of logjam.

It doesn't seem to work entirely right, hacking the full livejournal protocol shouldn't be too bad. A project if I get bored.

Cool little bit I found in the debian example config for lilo:

# To use the new LILO boot menu, add the following
bitmap=/usr/share/lilo/contrib/sid.bmp
bmp-colors=1,,0,2,,0
bmp-table=120p,173p,1,15,17
bmp-timer=254p,432p,1,0,0
install=/boot/boot-bmp.b

This will give you a nice debian logo instead of the boring lilo default.
