i got a text from my former client at globe telling me she was leaving for singapore and asking if i wanted her to pick up the prada phone for me.

of course i said yes.

the bummer part was when she said that she'd be out for two weeks, so i'd have to wait to get it.

i thought i was going to spend the whole day in bed, but i woke up to a kiss. jose had just gotten in from the airport and wanted to surprise me.

he unpacked some stuff i had asked him to bring home for me, then we left for lunch at pancake house and hung out at starbucks for a while, until he had to go back home to alabang.

the thing i hat about being away is that the work really piles up. so i spent the whole day in meetings at the office, an online, meeting at the client's office and a briefing for a pitch. at the end of the day i needed to unwind with comfort food and comfort friends. so it was cantinetta with ricky, carlo and grass.

during the stopover at changi on the way back, i passed through the duty free stores to see if they had my camera, but they didn't. they didn't have the prada phone either. oh well.

i remember back when i was in ogilvy, i had met the creative director for indonesia and he complained about how difficult it was to work with indonesians because they aren't very thorough in their work ( Read more... )

since there was nothing scheduled today, i stayed in bed until after lunch then decided to head on to the malls. inside this relatively new mall, senayan city, the hoarding on the unoccupied spaces were quotes about shopping by different personalities like brooke shields, and

we decided to be adventurous and find our way to the jakarta offices for a meeting. we got as far as a building within the area which had a starbucks. then i couldn't figure out how to cross the street because there were fences blocking the road. so i called trinka to have her driver pick us up there instead. hehehehe ( Read more... )

i got up at 5 to have enough time to pick up breakfast and pass by starbucks on the way to the airport. the airport wasn't too much of a hassle to get through, but i really hate having to take your shoes off. i understand the security precautions and all that, but the least the airport could do is have shoehorns.
