You big dork, Sophie, you sent it to my Hotmail and typo'd my Gmail XP Although it is good to see my nudge made it through! I wanted to send it in German but LJ wouldn't let me.
It is beginning to sound like Europe is pretty much made of food. And I have the Hairspray soundtrack on my computer thanks to Chrispay, would you like it?
I know not what your amazement at understanding Shoebox in a car is all about. This may be because I can read in cars.
HAHAHAHAHA @ CLASSICS INVADING YOUR MIND.
What's your sled like? I demand photos. Curious minds with hulking plastic American sleds want to know. And yay ice skating! I've been told it's just like rollerblading but on ice, is this true?
Re: FiiiiiirstladycariadJanuary 6 2008, 13:33:05 UTC
Iceskating is not like rollerblading on ice. I can rollerblade and I used to be able to ice skate, but three years of living in Wgtn without an ice rink means that I doubt I could iceskate any more.
The amazement at understanding Shoebox in the car comes from the fact that, I don't know if you've noticed this or not, Shoebox happens to be in English. Which happens to be the second language of the girl in question.

The nudge did make it through. I would like tyo tell you that just because I do not update for a week, it does not mean I've gone back to my old ways. It apparently means I've gone to berlin. so :P. actually, it's scary how much more confident the exchange has made me. I guess when there's no one to hide behind, one can't.
and yes, that is a pretty good description. this is why i want to move to... actually, I can't decide. Austria or Berlin?
when the text is size six and moving? (and you've seen my shoebox. You know that size six is optimistic.)
I suppose it's like roller blading on ice? I haven't been rollerskating since I was about seven. and you may get photos, and you may not. my memeory card is about full, and I don't know how to load onto this computer. or if I want to.
We are. although we still won't be able to vote in the next election.
YOUR ABUSAGE OF COMMAS AND NEGLECT OF THE FULL STOP MAKES MOONY'S HEART BLEED.
Anyway. Hello! Your New Year's sounded nicer than mine, as did your holidays in general. It is raaaaaiiiiining in France. I haven't had a decent chance to go shopping. I've not been doing much, really.
And it's less than a forthnight until I leave! :o I'll be sad and happy.
When do you get back to NZ? Plotting minds need to know.
I'm really looking forward to having Agathe over in NZ! Is this a sentiment shared by you?
The better my French gets, the stranger my English becomes...
You are just lucky there was no german in that. I've found there's only enough room for certain amounts of bilinguality in my head. this makes french especially interesting. and my english is also becoming strange. How would you deifne appreciate?
You hid in the corner too? I just had the luck that a) the hosts big sister was also in the corner and b) people keep dragging me out of it. really, what was wrong with your new years? Poor Johanna. Rain? I don't think there's actually weather here. they keep telling me there is, but then they make me disbelieve them by going "ooh, es gibt ein bisschen wind" and the leaves on the trees are barely moving. tricksy germans.
Less than a fortnight? oh, poor you. Shall I ask if I can call you from germany? I don't get back til the first. and then freddy arrives two weeks later. so, I get basically four months of intensive german! I'm worrying myself a little about it, although I think I'll be okay. Honestly, I don't want to think about going back to New Zealand just yet.
I misses the nicole too. How is everything going? There are two great big posts from me, but none from you. how's life?
And no, not in German. English, as well as apparently half of all german culture. But I did make an Exciting discovery. I was in the CD store, all on my lonesome because my exchange partner was off playing piano for the school choir (shes scarily good. Its a little intimidating), and I saw a wicked soundtrack. I went yay, and bought it. Outside of the shop, I looked at the songs on the back cover. All the titles were in german, and so probably all the songs. this shall be interesting.
and you get no photos until I return.
The cut translates as "cheese bread is good bread". It's a song, which I'll sing you when I get back.
I miss my Amanda too. Could she possibly email me and tell me how her life is going? and how brittany's party went?
I missed my Amanda especially at the New years party. They played the Grease Medly, and were singing along. It's patheitc that "summer loving" made me do the sad eyes. However, only bit of real homesickness so far, so I think I'm doing well.

I know the English thing! I just didn't think the "in a car" was necessary!
