I went shopping by myself today (I'm very proud, so shh). Everything went fine, and not once did I have to repeat myself. And they sold me sparklers longish after Sylvester, so guess what the small brother is going to get. I'm pretty much finished with presents*, too, so yay. Hey, been reading your Germany updates and am pleased to hear you are having a rad time...

(Also, I desperately want to go to Germany now to buy a signed calendar of the pope for my dad. Caitlin got him a plaque from Mexico of the Pope and it sits on the wall by his grater collection)

Are you serious about wanting the pope calendar? I wasn't joking about them being everywhere. and they're also rather cheap (and a little scary looking, but that could just be me and my reaction to the pope).

I could possibly be larger by now, as, to paraphrase Caryl, Germany is made of food. And Bavaria in particular is made of very good mustard. which I'll bring back with me.

and are these plans going to involve sun? because I have deicided I like sun. very much.
