Kassie just gave me a call from Grandma's, to say goodbye before she leaves for the first of a total of four weeks of summer camp. She's really excited, as she gets to return to Circle Square Ranch to practice her equestrian skills (and of course just be with the HORSIES EEEEEEEEEEE). I probably missed the window of opportunity, but this sounds like a perfect time to experience the deep pain that rests under the surface of day to day life. Go with the blessings of the gods and grieve.

From such loss, such depth of emotion, the soul will guide you to new paths of growth.

Again I find we think along similar lines. This week has allowed me to (give myself permission to) feel the full impact of it for a longer period of time. It's been... draining, but I am starting to feel purged, if you will.

I'm actually starting to approach the keep-crying-or-start-laughing stage.(Although there are still certain songs that open the sluicegates, so to speak, and if the radio station to which I listen insists on ambushing me therewith first thing in the morning, I will Have to Take Steps. With a Nailbat.)
