Francois Arnaud was in one of the Xavier Dolan (J'ai tué ma mére?) movies. I've been meaning to watch them anyway, but I find myself even more motivated to now.

Funny thing, she was actually only 13 when she married. But I think you don't have to feel creepy since people were considered grown ups a lot earlier back then... which might have something to do with them generally dying earlier as well, I guess.

*g* The description without names are cute somehow.
I'm glad I read the book just in time now, because it must be terribly confusing otherwise. It even was in the books for a bit.

The whole Dany story (the blond girl) was a little squicky for me in parts and I'm not generally very sensitive, but yeah...

I like how you seem to come to the same conclusions as I did when I started the book. Not spoiling you, just smiling a little wistfully.

I'd never heard of these movies before, but I think I'll have to look into them now!

I can justify because Holliday Grainger is, uh, decidedly not 13, and Lucrezia seems young but not that young - like, if they hadn't stated her age, I'd be happy assuming she's more like 16 or 17, so the ohnoes too young! thing is a bit artificial, but still.
