Medium: Books Fandom: The Hunger Games Subject: Finnick Odair/Annie Cresta Title: My Love Don't Forget Me, When I Let The Water Take Me Warnings: Spoilers for both Catching Fire and Mockingjay
i am overwhelmed by all this lovely :) where the gorgeous, semi-narcissistic boy is in love with a damaged little lunatic you phrased that so awesomely well and it totally gets me every effing time too. i practically live for their heartbreak :)) oh i can't wait to to listen to this mix!!!
I completely echo your Finnick-related feelings. The moment he showed up, I was like, "Yes! More of this guy, please!" His death made me angry because he didn't even get any last words. It was so unceremonious and just didn't fit him. And poor, poor Annie. There are just too many feelings to express here.
Also, the cover art is absolutely gorgeous. The water pics are stunning and your casting choices for Finnick and Annie are spot-on. I definitely pictured (a slimmed-down) Chris Hemsworth for Finnick throughout Catching Fire and Summer Glau does delightfully crazy so, so well. I wish they could be the onscreen versions, but alas.
ooh, your icon is so handsome...mad_teagirlSeptember 3 2012, 10:56:32 UTC
I'm so glad that you not only mirror my Finnick feelings, but that you liked my casting. I know that seeing Hemsworth in Cabin In the Woods definitely clinched him as Finnick in my mind. It didn't hurt when he was yelling "there's a gorgeous man in the water" but what can you do...
And well, after seeing Glau as River Tam, she just felt like Annie to me.
I'm going to try and keep an open mind about the movie adaptations, but these two are always going to be my dream cast for those two.
