Now this might sound a tad bit morbid, but a graveyard. it changed the way i feel about death. its not something to be scared about, but to embrace.

graceland did the same thing for me.
to know that i could leave all of that to my children, the billion dollar industry just on my name, yeah that was cool... but it was the living room, the "jungle room" that excited me so much. It is the # 1 place commedians and pedestrain thinkers criticize the house but you know what? He made #1 albums in that room, his fucking living room. While I wouldn't have hired him for my decorator, to have done that in the 1970's is unbelievable.
Being in that house gave me such a passion to create.
more importantly seeing all the gifts he has given (over 100 cadillac cars for example) proved to me that my dream of making my friend's lives easier just because I made it is possible. I want to take care of everyone who has fed me, shacked me up, and put up with my shit because i have my head stuck up my ass for everything but music...

that's soo badass!!! we learned about elvis last week in my history of rock&roll class. it was really funny how the parents would be soo apalled about elvis's style and how he "gyrated" his hips. lol! He really revolutionized rock&roll, so in that sense, u can say he was one of the first punk rockers!

tim armstrong said around 1994 :(paraphrased) "elvis played black music to a white nation that hated blacks and jerry lee married his fucking cousin, lit pianos on fire and pushed them into the crowd, what is more punk than that?"

that's an amazing story...I'v never been to Graceland but I've hear some fascinating things about it...
I've been to a lot of "life changing" places for me...the graveyard where my dad is baried (and half my family I guess) is really just...I dunno...it's weird but it's uplifting and gives me a clear mind.
