I saw the most beautiful girl I've ever seen today. I only saw her out of the corner of my eye as we drove parallel to each other for a few minutes. I could have turned to look, but I didn't. I wanted it to stay there, the image I had in my head and the life history I had fabricated from a glimpse of long brown hair, from the suggestion of a face. We met a few minutes later and fell in love and got married, had children and grew old and happy together. We died within months of each other, her first and then me, not being happy in a world without her. Then I slowed and turned right to go to school. It was a good day.
wow. that sort of thing has happened to me too... i once spent an entire month trying to find some guy i saw while camping in colorado. with nothing to go on except the campsite # he and his family stayed in and the dates they were there. i had never even talked to him. i just saw him sitting outside of their huge motorhome reading a book. he always had a tight white tee shirt on and had black hair that was long enough that it fell in his eyes. and i decided after walking by on my way to the pool and having him look up and smile that i was in love. its amazing the things i remember after 5 years isnt it? needless to say i never found him.
