Dark Picnic

Richard and I decided not to sit in our hot apartment yesterday so we gathered up some picnic goodies (corn, tomatoes, curried rice, etc) so we could have a picnic-type dinner on the porch of the Canoe Club. where we are members

I'm still worried about the pets. Did she have any relatives? What an odd thing to happen.

They finally got hold of a neighbor who helped them get in and one of the club members adopted her cat. I'm not sure what happened with the turtle.

Her only relatives were elderly parents hundreds of miles away. What a shock it must have been for them to get the news. I should hear more on Thursday night when we go back for the weekly potluck dinner.

Poor lady. At least there were no young children. It must have been an absolute freak of an accident as it sounds like she was quite experienced.
