Oh my gosh hun that must have been scary!! Not to mention make you feel incredibly crappy. I am glad to hear they couldn't find anything nasty like a tumor or stroke leftovers on your scans and all!!

Screw your boss. You are ILL for crying out loud, and had to be at the hospital!! Some people.. *rolls eyes*

Take care, and keep us posted when you feel up to it!

Thanks - I'm so much better now. Things gradually get better. Yesterday was pretty good; today I'm not as frisky.

I'm thinking of going back to work just to keep things going (insurance, paycheck) As much as I hate that job I can't afford to lose it so stay tuned

Holy crumbs, scary stuff! Thank God it wasn't a tumor or a stroke!

I'm glad you've decided to go for the therapy. I hope it helps.

Your boss is an idiot. Pay no attention to it.

Feel better soon, Madeleine! *hugs*

Thanks! What's weird about it is now I'm hearing from people who had it happen to them/know someone it happened to. Apparently it isn't as rare as healthy people like us who never get sick or go to hospitals might thing.

I'm glad to say I'm almost all better now. Richard and I are going for a test drive to see if I don't get dizzy when behind the wheel

that must have been terrifying. I hope it settles down all the way and that they can place a firm diagnosis on it and start treating it.

The weirdest part was the sudden-ness plus the fact that nobody knows what causes it. I hope it doesn't happen again but nobody will give me odds on it.

The insurance co's picking up the tab but I think I'm going to have a hard time about work -- I only get 2 sick days a year. According to HR after that I'm "in the negative" Like I owe them time?

I told them to hold my paycheck but they don't want to do that. But I'm not going to worry about that right now. If my looking-for-a-new job plans go right I'll be out of there by summer anyway.

Not taking any high-blood pressure pills by any chance?

No diuretics. Nothing weird. Docs believe it was some kind of inner ear thing but the neurologist thinks it was weird side effects of a migraine. All that $$ and they still couldn't come up with definite answers.

I had a doctor tell my wife that some high-blood pressure pills (especially diuretics) seem to cause the inner ear fluid to crystallize.
