our music department is supposed to be really good; a friend of mine is planning on minoring in it. all i know beyond that is that the major requires a lot of classes you have to start taking early on. are you going to apply here? you should :D

I am definitely thinking about applying... I know one of the cello teachers there (Irene Sharp) and I know I don't want to study under her. However, I've heard such amazing things about the "environment" of the campus and the quality of classes, so I might take a trip up to check it out -- and the other teacher (Leighton Fong? i think?)
My GPA and SAT scores won't be the thing to get me in since it's a state school but then again that's making an unfair assumption? What do you think?
