Should have posted this last week.

After 24 years, I am finally free of vision rectifiers! In other words, no more glasses!

It still feels weird though, when I go to adjust my glasses when I'm not wearing any...

After 7 years and 15 conventions, I feel it's time to retire from volunteering.

I have my reasons; suffice to say that the sixth one was the turning point.

Yep, it's that time of the year when my age counter increases by 1. I'm in Melbourne for Supanova.

At the moment I'm waiting in the bottom level of Melbourne Central for 10am local time to rock up.

Why, you may ask?

Simple. The nearest luggage store doesn't open until 10 and I am not going to kill my back and yet another duffle bag that I use for luggage.

2009 became 2010... yay. Sleep.

Arrived in Melbourne for a NYE shindig yesterday; spent most of it getting to the accoms. Later it was almost 8 local time, AND THE SUN WAS STILL UP. I mean, what's up with that?

So I'm in Glen Innes visiting my sister and her family, and I'm damn lucky that the place we're (my parents and myself) are staying has access to wireless internet. Only thing is, it's as flaky as a bowl of cereal.

WHY AM I IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE?!?
