The first alpha of VazMod 3 went out at the end of last week, with all traces of the original gray/orange skin gone. It's still at the prototype stage but here's a shot of the current look:
Kind of, although the sum of several processors is less than one big one for realtime audio software (mainly because of serialization issues). As it stands VAZ already benefits from running the audio thread on one cpu and the UI thread on another, to take this further I'll have to come up with some way of splitting the realtime audio work across the available cpus (I've seen figures quoted that Cubase VST 5.1 will only manage ~40% extra work on a dual system). If you have a situation with many asynchronous tasks (i.e. a server) multiple cpus will win big.

Multiple CPUs are the way to go - they can only stretch processor speeds so far - multi processor will be the next big thing..
