Mp3 is recording of 3 synthesizer, first 4 notes from each then little phrases. Challenge is to say which is which! Is it real Korg MS-20, is it Legacy MS-20 or is it VAZ Modular 3? Prace your bets nooowww!

Topaz (aka Matt) an IRC mate of mine, plus associates, wrote some of the music on the Solomon: Escape Artist thing on C4 tonight (rah!). The S&M escape filmed at Electrowerkz uses this little synth I coded called VAZ Plus 2 for the acidy synth sound. Evidence.

I've just uploaded a new track if anyone fancies a listen. More of an EBM thing than usual.

I've finally got around to updating the Monosect website a bit, only a year since I last touched it... The whole of the set played at Cyberpolis last week is there to download, that way more than a dozen people may get to hear it :>

I was messing around with VazMod 3 and tried out an idea I had a while back, it's quite a simple patch. The shot of course shows how the UI is coming along, I've got a first take on dynamic shading going.

The first alpha of VazMod 3 went out at the end of last week, with all traces of the original gray/orange skin gone. It's still at the prototype stage but here's a shot of the current look:

I completed a remix for a band from Leicester called Conspiracy at the end of last week, and as with the Libitina remix it's in the electroclash style. Clip here. It works rather well with the vocal I think.

A few months back I also did a remix of Universal Race for Theatre of Tragedy which came out in a psychotic squiggly technoid EBM style. That ( Read more... )
