Korg Clone Conundrum

Jun 22, 2004 14:40

Mp3 is recording of 3 synthesizer, first 4 notes from each then little phrases. Challenge is to say which is which! Is it real Korg MS-20, is it Legacy MS-20 or is it VAZ Modular 3? Prace your bets nooowww!

You _should_ be able to pick out that the 3 synths used are different. Deciding which is which is harder.

The 80% controller is the best bit of the Legacy package, apart from the tiny keys. The software UI to the MS-20 is bad... either too small to be useable or scrolling horrors. The Wavestation may sound right, but it's all digital thin ick to me ;) The Polysix ain't half bad. I'll comment on the MS-20 sound later.

I've actually forgotten! I have a pretty good idea which is which just from the brightness of the filters though.

It has to be the VAZ modular 3 silly...named after the shady Asian MP of someplace in Leicester...

And your question is who was assassinated in 1792 as part of a masque? Was it??
Gustav III, Gustav IV, Adolf Frederick or Oskar II??

Nonono, the 3 synths used are listed, the question is which is which.

Welll....okay..Korg, then Legacy then VAz...(which is my favourite..though unlike Korg not named after a little known Klingon emperor!)
