Sacrament
This morning I overfilled my bowl of cereal. I gripped the bowl with two hands and took very careful steps towards my dining room table...oddly I was reminded of taking my first communion. I have a little obsession with words. Words that don't get used often. I try to incorporate them into my every day vocabulary. I was reading Peter Pan the other day...not the Disney version, but the real Peter Pan. There was a paragraph in there about Mrs. Darling, how she always had one kiss tucked in the corner of her mouth that you could never have. It reminded me of myself. Another year older, another year non the wiser. How do you go through life making the same mistakes over and over again? How do you repeat cycles that you try so hard to leave behind? It's not very convincing
I hate trying to look busy, when I would rather shoot myself in the freakin' foot than be where I am right now. If I talk to one more stupid person on the phone I might explode into a thousand screaming, bitchy pieces. If only the sky outside didn't duplicate my mood, intensify it even.
