temporary black

How can I get my hair temporary black? I only need to black for three days and with the type of hairstyle, a wig is not an option ( Read more... )

well, i just dyed over red hair with natural instincts medium dark brown or something, its like the darkest brown without being black. it came out black, but within the same week it turned to a brown. and now its a red brown. i imagine if you got soft black or normal black in that brand it will also fade quickly. just wash your hair with those terrible shampoos.

manic panic has a black dye..that should be more temporary than any semi-permanent dye

Ditto on Manic Panic. They usually don't last more than a week, but look great the first few days.

They also make rinses. Older women get them typically at my salon and they come out in a few washes.

I ran into this problem! I ended up using theatre charcoal powder (Ben Nye) and just put it on toilet paper and smeared it into my hair. The effect is great, but it will end up kind of getting everywhere (hairspray helps?) and it is a HUGE BITCH to wash out (might take two or three washes). It's not permanent, though, which is great (:
