i'm taking air force rotc classes this semester. i'm actually really really excited about it because they said i could fly aeroplanes next year. me! fly aeroplanes!! and i don't have to whore myself to the government if i don't want to. i had to rearrange my whole entire schedule, so i won't be in lisa's design class, but somehow i still managed

hey, this is rob. You should know the following about rotc(I was in mcjrotc for two years, and thats baby stuff in comparison) from now on you will have to:
keep your hair shoulder length at longest
wear a uniform once a week at least, and be able to pass inspection(its harder than it sounds, I know)
get yelled at regularly. And I don't mean scolded. I mean screamed at, in your face, demeaning shit that usually comes with physical punishment.
wear only jewelry accepted by the usaf on days you have that class, which means at most plain gold and silver studs in your ears, no visible body jewelry, and if you wear rings, they must not be overly noticable

on another note, just because you aren't required to enlist(and by enlist I mean enroll in ocs and become an officer) doesn't mean they won't alienate you if you let slip you don't plan on it.
I think you can more than handle it, but you shouldn't walk in expecting a picnic either.

oh, you'll have a blast, I know I did, but I thought you should know there's a dark side to rotc
